Jenna Fischer's most recognizable character is Pam Beesly in the highly popular television series The Office. Fischer was awarded 2 SAG Awards and an Emmy for her exceptional performance in an ensemble comedy.
She was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, however, she grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. Jenna saw her mother, Anne, perform in church plays when she was younger, which instilled a love of performing and theater.
Fischer is an actress with the theater background. She starred as Josh Hamilton in Neil LaBute's Off-Broadway play Reasons to be Happy. At the Old Globe Theatre's premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann and Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's comical comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office actress Angela Kinsey Fischer, who is her real-life best friend and castmate, launched Office Ladies in October 2019 on Earwolf. The show became wildly successful, ranking in the Top Ten of the world each week. It had more than 200 million downloaded during its first two years. Office Ladies received the iHeart Radio Podcast of the Year award in the month of January in 2021.
She has written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide where she outlines her experience in Hollywood acting as a professional and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, an account of the most memorable friendship they had and their experiences watching The Office.
